The IHG Army Hotel providing Temporary Lodging for the Carlisle Barracks is known as a "Historia Collection Hotel," because it's part of a collection of hotels that bear historical significance to the US Army. Like all IHG Army Hotels, it is on-post privatized lodging, which makes it convenient, but not generally required. Check with your gaining unit for confirmation on lodging policy. Reservations for temporary lodging on post can be made up to 50 days in advance and at least 15 days prior to desired occupancy. Official travelers on orders can make reservations up to three days prior to desired occupancy date. The hotel is children and pet friendly, but space may be limited; reservations are highly recommended. Amenities may include refrigerators, microwaves, free standard internet, and each lodge facility building has a full kitchen.

Off-post hotels and motels also offer temporary accommodations with many providing extended stay options and/or military specials.
